“Christmas Caroling” Artwork.

I recently pulled out a song that Ryan Kirk and I recorded back in 2007.  It was a Christmas song that officially had no name.  We’d either call it “Christmas Medley” or “God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman/Carol of the Bells”.  It originally began with Ryan and I hanging out in my studio.  Ryan was playing the lick for “God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman” on the keyboard, using a Rhodes patch.  We got inspired and decided to build a grandiose Christmas epic.  We spent about a week or two working on the song and released it that Christmas.  The following year I remixed it a bit and re-released it.

We were incredibly proud of this song when it came out, however I’ve been looking for an excuse for a long time now to make it even better.  My skill sets as a musician and producer as well as my resources for recording have improved significantly and I wanted to do this song justice.

I finally pulled the track out last August and began working on it.  I stripped practically all of my parts and kept Ryan’s!  It was a complete tear-down and redo, and I’m very proud of the end result.  What you have now is what I officially call the finished product.  It even has an official title now and artwork!  By the way, HUGE thanks to my wife Amanda for the great artwork that accompanies this song.  I hope you enjoy!
